The Bridge has recently been awarded recognition in a variety of ways.
- In June 2010, Mayor Tom Leppert accepted the US Conference of Mayors' City Livability Award for The Bridge on behalf of the City of Dallas. For the past 30 years, cities have competed for this very prestigious award, which recognizes mayoral leadership for developing and implementing programs that improve and enhance the quality of life in America's urban areas.
- The Bridge was awarded Top Winner of the 2010 Topping Out Awards. This is an award from the industry leaders in the Dallas and Fort Worth areas to recognize and honor excellence in the fields of development, architecture, and construction which positively impact our communities. Architects for The Bridge are CamargoCopeland and Overland Partners.
- Tshwane Leadership Foundation in South Africa awarded the architects at Overland Partners an international design award for The Bridge. The contest is dedicated to [re]branding homelessness and seeks to find the most effective strategy to raise awareness as well as to help create a new language and visual dialogue about homelessness. The goal of the award is to highlight programs around the world that change public perceptions, encourage private investments in hopeful alternatives, and inform public policy.
