Volunteer Spotlight: Blessed with a HERO family – the Locke family

The Bridge receives  generous donations of gently used clothing, shoes, coats and other basic necessities from concerned citizens. However, with little storage space and even less staff time available for organization, we had a volunteer job of enormous in proportion. But we were also blessed with a HERO family – the Locke family .

They came in with energy, stamina and keen organizational skills to turn our in-kind donation room into a "store" room with easy access to all the donated items.

They named themselves The S.O.R.T. (Storage Organization Relief Team).  After purchasing 90 bins for organization, the four people in their family worked 14 hours to accomplish this amazing task. "It was such a satisfying project, to see the end result. We really felt like we accomplished something."
